  1. Emotional wellbeing — small daily inputs
  2. Gratitude — a daily practice
  3. Positive psychology, in plain English
  4. Daily rituals — why small things matter most

If you cross the literatures on what predicts long-term emotional wellbeing, the same short list keeps showing up: sleep, movement, sunlight, close relationships, time in nature, a sense of meaning, and a few daily practices of attention.

The boring honest list

  • Sleep, roughly enough, roughly regularly.
  • Some daily movement.
  • Daylight on your face within an hour of waking.
  • At least one substantive conversation most days.
  • Time outside, even briefly.
  • A felt sense that today contributed to something.

What Fika Pause works on

Fika Pause does not try to fix sleep or replace exercise. It works on the relational and attentional inputs — pauses, conversations, gratitude, noticing — that are the easiest to drop and the cheapest to add back.

Important: Fika Pause is not a substitute for professional mental-health care. If you are struggling, please reach out to a qualified professional. In the US, you can call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
